Harmonix is proud to reveal Masaya Matsuura will add some of his original music to the Beat Sports soundtrack. Matsuura is a pioneer of the music game genre, known for games like PaRappa the Rapper and Vib-Ribbon. His career spans 30 years of composing music and innovating the music gaming genre with his company NaNa-On Sha. Harmonix is also known for innovation in the music game category, with hits like Amplitude, Rock Band and Dance Central.

Now for the first time ever, these two giants of music games are collaborating on the soundtrack for Beat Sports, the new music rhythm game collection for Apple TV.

“Matsuura-san is one of the true pioneers of the music game genre, and his work has been hugely inspirational to me and others at Harmonix from our early days,” said Alex Rigopulos, co-founder and CCO of Harmonix. “We’ve wanted to work with him for a very long time, so we’re thrilled to be able to include some of his wonderful music in Beat Sports.”
